My name is Nathalie Modderkolk; I am 36 years old and have a boyfriend and a 6-year-old daughter. From childhood, I grew up with paper; my father and cousin worked in paper, and I sometimes went with my father to the factory. At age 7, I already knew that I also wanted to work in paper.

What background do you have in terms of education and work experience?
First, I did an education in healthcare, which in hindsight turned out to be less of a fit for me. At VHP, I performed the lamination of banknotes and followed the Vapro-basis training.
How long have you been working for Schut Papier?
I have been working at Schut Papier for 5.5 years and have always worked in finishing (post-processing). Working at Schut Papier is nice because we work with a small team, everyone knows each other well, and there is an informal atmosphere.

Responsibilities
•How would you describe your role in three words?
Making artist paper pads, finishing, re-cutting.
•What does a typical workday look like?
I start by gathering materials; after that, I set up the machines, and sometimes I also have to create the program for cutting. After this, I can cut and stack the paper.

Let yourself be well-informed by the employees who have worked there longer; there is a lot of knowledge and experience among other people that you can learn from.
